Leading Healthcare Provider Uses Kryptiq’s New Software Development Kits to Bridge Unconnected Enterprise Systems
MeritCare Health System Leverages Kryptiq SDKs to Improve Information Availability
Portland, Ore.– June 5, 2007 – Kryptiq Corporation, the leading provider of workflow and connectivity solutions for healthcare, today announced that MeritCare Health System is implementing Kryptiq’s new Software Development Kits (SDKs) to provide a common platform for secure communication with patients. MeritCare has incorporated Kryptiq’s patient portal features into the MeritCare Web site so that patients can easily access secure messages and other personal health information. Additionally, MeritCare is now able to integrate Kryptiq’s secure messaging with existing information systems across the organization to support a streamlined workflow for internal users. This will allow MeritCare to maximize internal strengths in marketing and development, while improving information availability to both physicians and patients at a fraction of the time and cost of any other approach.
MeritCare Health System, an integrated clinic and hospital system headquartered in Fargo, N.D., has begun deployment of Kryptiq’s CareCatalyst SDK to support patient portal capabilities that connect with its GE Centricity information systems. “The Kryptiq SDK has enabled us to deliver rich portal functionality through our Web site that enables patients to take a more active and empowered role in their own care,” said Craig Hewitt, CIO for MeritCare. “In the future, we will be expanding our use of Kryptiq’s secure messaging SDK to connect information systems at MeritCare beyond GE Centricity to increase collaboration across provider settings and with patients.” The CareCatalyst SDK has allowed MeritCare to streamline patient/clinic communications with a highly efficient workflow while maintaining a consistent corporate brand identity.
Kryptiq’s SDKs offer healthcare providers all the functionality of Kryptiq’s secure messaging and patient portal products in easy to implement components, enabling the direct integration of proven connectivity technologies with existing enterprise information systems, corporate Web sites, and even home-grown systems. IT vendors can also use the SDKs to incorporate secure messaging and online patient services within their applications. Kryptiq’s technologies offer automatic integration with solutions from GE Healthcare, Sage Software, and MedcomSoft, and are now being adopted by a growing number of health systems as a central connectivity platform in their enterprise information technology strategies.
