Kryptiq Extends Leadership and Presence in National Healthcare Market

Leading Provider of Messaging-Based Workflow Solutions Attracts Industry Veterans

PORTLAND, Ore. – September 10, 2003 – Kryptiq Corporation, the premier provider of middleware platforms for automating healthcare workflows, today announced it has strengthened its sales force with the appointment of three new members to its management team. These additions are in response to the increasing use of enterprise email security among healthcare providers as a means for integrating information systems and automating standard communication processes. Kryptiq is opening new sales offices in Boston, MA, Knoxville, TN and Austin, TX, in order to meet increasing demand for its solutions.

“Strengthening our sales force allows us to deploy secure email and workflow solutions nationwide to leading health systems and other providers,” said Dave Moffenbeier, executive vice president of sales for Kryptiq. “Our ability to attract accomplished leaders in healthcare is a reflection of executing on our vision to make healthcare more affordable and improve the quality of patient care.”

New Management Team Members

Barbara Klein has joined the company as vice president of sales for the northeast region of the country and will be located in Boston, MA. Klein has over 15 years of experience in healthcare, including practice management and electronic medical records systems. Previously, Klein has held positions at Partners Health Care System, MedicaLogic, and GE Medical Systems.

Rick Matousek has been appointed vice president of sales for the southeast region and will be based in Knoxville, TN. Matousek has over 20 years of healthcare experience in acute and ambulatory care settings. Prior to joining Kryptiq, Matousek held positions in sales and management at General Electric, MedicaLogic, Wang, Medicus, and Honeywell Corporations. Matousek has spent the majority of his career in the sales and marketing of medical software applications.

Chad Aicklen joins Kryptiq as vice president of sales for the south central region, with more than 25 years of business development, sales, and marketing experience in technology and healthcare. Prior to joining Kryptiq, Aicklen led business development at SureScripts, was National Sales Director for MedicaLogic and was involved in business development and sales for technology and healthcare companies including J&J McNeil Consumer Products Company, Texas Instruments, GE Calma, and Mentor Graphics.
