Kryptiq Corporation Releases E-Gateway
New Security and Workflow Solution Connects Critical Health Data Using Email
PORTLAND, Ore — July 30, 2003 — Kryptiq Corp., the leading provider of middleware platforms for automating healthcare workflows, today announced the general availability of the Kryptiq E- Gateway™, an enterprise secure messaging and workflow automation platform that connects existing healthcare systems to securely transport critical data across organizations, between users and databases. The Kryptiq E-Gateway adds security and workflow components to an existing email infrastructure to enable the transport of confidential patient information. Kryptiq’s software monitors all enterprise email traffic for sensitive information, such as a social security number or a test result, and automatically protects sensitive information according to configurable policies.

The Kryptiq E-Gateway has been successfully installed and tested by numerous healthcare organizations, including Providence Health Systems, CareOregon and Legacy Health System.

The Kryptiq E-Gateway is customizable and capable of interfacing with existing information systems such as Electronic Medical Records, Lab Information Systems, and Practice Management Systems to automate routine communications in healthcare, moving critical information where and when it is needed. Message encryption and recipient authentication are performed automatically and each secure message is tracked to provide a complete history of content and attachment handling. Recipients of secure messages can use any email application and are not required to install special software.
