Legacy Health System Selects Kryptiq For Email Security
Increased Security of Patient Data at Largest Oregon-Based, Not-For-Profit Healthcare System
PORTLAND, Ore — April 23, 2003 — Kryptiq Corp., a provider of secure messaging and email-based workflow solutions, today announced that Legacy Health System has selected Kryptiq™ Secure Email to meet security and privacy guidelines for electronic messaging. Legacy Health System will implement Kryptiq’s platform for communicating information within and beyond the Legacy network.

Kryptiq Secure Email improves existing electronic messaging (Email) systems, adding security features such as message encryption, recipient authentication and policy controls. Kryptiq’s software monitors all email that leaves the Legacy network for sensitive information, such as a social security number or test result. Using Kryptiq Secure Email, any email that contains confidential patient information is now protected automatically. Recipients can use any email application and are not required to install special software to receive secure messages.
